Make Your Thanksgiving Meaningful!

Build a new tradition for Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner. In the high spirit of Thanksgiving, I just published my inspirational booklet Make Your Thanksgiving Meaningful!   It’s a guide to self-reflection and creating meaningful conversations with family, friends and children during the Thanksgiving holiday.

The book guides the host to engage guests in thoughtful conversation centered on embracing one another, appreciating what we have, and reciprocating with thoughtfulness. It contains practical tools to lead a happier life through simple daily, weekly and monthly rituals. It is a spiritual guide for all denominations to explore and achieve a more fulfilled life.

The book is not only a guide but offers many tools to integrate into our lives to create better relationships. With Make Your Thanksgiving Meaningful!  Families can start a new tradition to their holiday that is engaging and meaningful for all ages.

Thanksgiving reminds us to appreciate our personal freedoms, be grateful for our friends and family, and embrace everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, race, gender, and color.

Why did I write this book?

To help enrich my holidays with family, friends and the community

Growing up, dinner gatherings and holidays were a combination of positive interactions and tense emotional flare-ups. In these times, I longed for holiday gatherings that were warm and filled with meaningful learning experiences. As I grew older, I learned that meaningful holiday experiences required just as much preparation, if not more, than food and table arrangements.

Typically, many people feel tension and anxiety while entertaining: not only shopping and prepping for hours and days before the holiday, but then be burdened with anxiety to ensure that the guests are enjoying themselves and emotions are in check.

In my family there was always an abundance of food. The house was always filled with neighbors, friends, family and sometimes even strangers. It was chaotic. We rarely engaged in any meaningful conversations. We gobbled the food so fast. We felt so stuffed. Within a short time, it was time to clean up.  I felt disappointed.

Years later, when I got married, I made a commitment to create only meaningful encounters. With our daughter as inspiration, I started composing booklets for various holidays. I realized that sharing it with people would enrich everyone’s experience.   Thanksgiving is time for reflection and learning to lead a happier life.

The book is not only a guide but offers many tools to integrate into our lives to create better relationships. With Make Your Thanksgiving Meaningful!  Families can start a new tradition to their holiday that is engaging and meaningful for all ages.

Thanksgiving reminds us to appreciate our personal freedoms, be grateful for our friends and family, and embrace everyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, race, gender, and color.

bottom line

The book engages friends and family in meaningful conversations during the Thanksgiving meal.
